Meet the friendly staff at Timberlake! 

  • Dr.
    Tony Pearson
    Owner/Veterinarian

    Dr. Pearson is born and raised in Virginia, having grown up in Harrisonburg. He attended Virginia Tech and received a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to graduate from their veterinary school (VMRCVM) in 2012. He has worked in the Lynchburg area since 2012. He met his wife, Jessi, shortly after moving to Lynchburg. They now have three lovely children, as well as three dogs. Dr. Pearson is also a deacon at Mercy Presbyterian Church in Forest. When not at the clinic, Dr. Pearson enjoys spending time with his family, watching superhero movies, and reading.

  • Dr. Bethany Marshall
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Bethany Marshall is originally from Danville. She received her veterinary degree from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She lives in the area with her husband, sweet daughter, and their cat, Parmesan. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but especially working with senior animals and surgery. In her free time, Dr. Marshall enjoys relaxing with her family, running, and cooking.

  • Stephanie Boteler
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Stephanie is originally from the Campbell County area. She has been in vet med for 24 years. She has a B.S. degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech, and Associates in Veterinary Technology from Northern VA Community College.  Stephanie currently lives in Nathalie, VA with her husband, one dog, and three cats.  She loves to fish, camp, hike, garden, and do anything outdoors!

  • Shannon Harker
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Shannon grew up in Virginia Beach but fell in love with the mountains when she moved here to attend the Veterinary Technology Program at Blue Ridge Community College. As much as she loves dogs and cats, her true love is exotic pets. She lives on a farm in Amherst county with her husband, 2 dogs Arlo and Betty, and lots of chickens. She also has a ridiculous number of house plants. When not at work, Shannon enjoys gardening, reading, and exploring nature.

  • Allie Raner
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Allie grew up in Greensboro, NC then moved to Lynchburg in 2014 to pursue a BS in Zoology at Liberty University. She got her degree in Veterinary Technology at Blue Ridge Community College in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, baking, and cheering on the Liberty Flames and Indianapolis Colts. She has 2 cats, 2 dogs, a horse, and foster kittens through kittens through CVRR. She is also currently in the process of starting a hobby farm in Gretna. 

  • Stephanie Carwile
    Veterinary Assistant/Ordering Manager

    Stephanie graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 with a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences.  She has 3 dogs and 1 cat.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, being outdoors, and watching Netflix. Stephanie is also studying to be a Veterinary Technician. 

  • Colby Cheatham
    Veterinary Assistant

    Colby has lived her whole life in the Appomattox/Spout Spring area. She has 4 fur babies of her own: 2 black labs, Boomer and Darcy and 2 cats, Dusky and Petals, who she loves dearly! Animals have always been passion of hers! While not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband at the lake or floating the river!

  • Mandi McGann
    Veterinary Assistant

    Mandi is originally from Halifax County and have lived in Lynchburg since graduating from Virginia Tech. She currently has 6 cats of her own, 3 of which are foster fails from the Humane Society. Other than hanging out with animals, Mandi loves to garden, cook, and shoot pool.

  • Jesse Payne
    Receptionist

    Jesse Payne has lived in Lynchburg her whole life until she recently moved into the country. She loves country life! Jesse is married and has a sweet baby girl named Stormi. She loves exploring nature and playing video games!

  • Dayna Peters
    Receptionist

    Dayna has lived in Campbell County her whole life. She has been working in Veterinary medicine as a receptionist for a little over 2 years. She has two cats, Tofu and Meatball, and a dog named Tater Tot. When she is not working she likes relaxing at home with family or taking Tater Tot out for nature walks. 

  • Kylie Phelps
    Veterinary Assistant

    Kylie has always been passionate about working with animals and is currently in school to become a veterinary technician through Penn foster. She has 2 sweet fur babies of her own, a lab and a beagle. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, cook, and spend time outdoors.

  • Drew Schick
    Veterinary Assistant

    Drew Schick was born and raised in north central Pennsylvania. He moved to Lynchburg to attend Liberty University to study Biology and graduated a few years later with his BS. He met his wife here in Lynchburg and has been married for 9 years. He fosters dogs through Central Virginia Regional Rescue. He and his wife have 5 dogs and 4 cats of their own. On the weekends, they love to go camping, watch movies, and spend time with their family and friends.

  • Beth Sebby-Workman
    Receptionist

    Beth has lived in the area for over 20 years and has worked with animals for the past 12. She has been married to her husband Cory for 3 years, and between the two of them, they have four wonderful kids and a small petting zoo (3 dogs, 4 cats, 5 geckos, 1 snake, and 1 tarantula). When Beth isn't working, she enjoys reading, camping, painting, going to music festivals, and spending time with her family!

  • Alyssa Southworth
    Veterinary Assistant

    Alyssa is originally from California but moved the Amherst/Lynchburg area in 2015. She has always loved animals and is thrilled to work with them every day! Alyssa has a Shiba Inu and 4 cats that are her whole world. When she is not at work, she enjoys hiking with her dog, going to the movie theater, and playing any sort of games with her friends and boyfriend.

  • Paige Verret
    Veterinary Assistant

    Paige grew up in Pittsville, a little place outside of Gretna, VA. She has three cats: Amethyst, Scooter, and Ghost, and a dog named Castiel. She has been passionate about animals since she was a child. While not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and playing video games.

  • Jessi Pearson
    Office Manager/Director of Marketing

    Jessi is the wife of Dr. Pearson! Together, they have three children and three fur-babies, who she stays home with when she is not at the clinic. Jessi has a Masters degree in English from the University of Lynchburg and previously taught English at both JF and CVCC. Jessi also teaches Women’s Bible Study at her church, Mercy Presbyterian. When not at the clinic or participating in church events, Jessi enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing games with her children and husband.
